Gingrich doesn’t get it… and Ryan is a lost cause…

I couldn’t believe what I heard from Newt Gingrich on Hannity radio this afternoon.

After 6 months of campaigns where it was made abundantly clear over and over again that the Republican establishment has been the villain, that the Republican Party screwed things up in Washington, that the leadership seemed to support the Obama agenda more than any conservative agenda, that we need an outsider, that Trump is that outsider that we need, blah blah blah…

We then get this from Gingrich – who has apparently been out to lunch -  this afternoon…   (this is the paraphrased essence of what he said)

“Trump needs to realize that he’s playing two different games.  He played the primaries, did a fabulous job.  But now he has to play with the team.  This is a different game now.  He has the Republican team.  He has to learn how to play with his fellow Republicans.”

Newt, what you just said is insane if you’ve been paying attention.  The Republican “team” is the problem.  Trump is the new team manager.  The manager isn’t the problem.  A number of members of the TEAM are the problem.  The team has been screwing up.  They’ve lost their credibility.  And now members of the discredited team, Gingrich, Ryan and others, are telling the new Manager that he needs to work with the crappy team?Image result for Republican elitist idiocy gingrich ryan

Gingrich stated that what Trump said about the La Raza loving judge of Mexican heritage was “inappropriate.”  Ryan went even further and called Trump’s remarks “racist.”  This falls in the same category as calling those “racist” who disagree with Obamas progressive, socialist, pro-Muslim policies.  No, policies are not a race.  Progressivism is not a race.  And Islam is not a race.

Trump correctly labelled Gingrich’s comment “inappropriate” as indeed it was.

Trump is right: Friend of Mexican heritage versus a Judge of Mexican heritage: There is a difference.

What do you suppose is the reason why our judicial system is set up so that we are judged by a jury of our peers?  What is a “peer”, anyway?

A peer is “a person who is equal to another in abilities, qualifications, age, background, and social status.” Dictionary.com

Basically, a peer is a person like us.  A quality of a “peer” might include race, gender, nationality and religion.  Would you want a jury comprised of devout Muslims to judge a devout Christian?  Or a jury of devout Christians judging a homosexual queer?  Or worse, a jury of queers judging a devout Christian?   Of course not.

Why do you believe this jury-of-peers thing is set up like this?  Because our judicial system recognizes that people who have differences also have preferences and prejudices.  To deny humans of every sort have prejudices for or against certain other individuals is to be blind to reality.

Donald Trump expressed his sincere concern that a judge of Mexican heritage would not treat him fairly.  Why not?  Donald knows he has taken political positions, that, while best for our country, are offensive to certain segments of our society, most particularly, offensive to a progressive judge of Mexican heritage who is in a position to impose a legal verdict on him.

This does not mean Trump dislikes Mexicans or those of Mexican heritage. Trump has many Mexican friends and employees.  It is one thing to have a friend who doesn’t believe everything that you do.  Most people have that sort of relationship every day.  It is quite another thing to allow yourself to be judged and legally bound by someone who you are certain has significant disagreements with you because of his heritage and related biases.

That judge is not a peer of Trump.  If a jury is supposed to be comprised of a jury of your peers, why shouldn’t a judge be held to the same standard?

Trump also has Muslim friends and employees.  But should he allow himself to be judged by a Muslim when he knows darn well that Muslims were generally offended by his statements about Muslim immigration (in fact Muslims seem to be offended by most things our culture represents except the freedoms they have to impose their Islamic-inspired will on the rest of the population.)  Hell no!

Yet the media, liberals, and even many so-called Republican allies are jumping on Trumps’ comments about the judge as if what he said is racist or worse.  Give it some rational thought.  What Trump has said should make perfect sense to anyone who understands our legal system, human nature, and seeks justice.

Those who criticize Trump for his  statements either have a hidden agenda or are simply being idiots regarding Trumps rational concerns.

Even our so-called political allies are so brainwashed in “political correctness” and “fear of offending anyone for any reason” and false belief that “we all are supposed to think alike” that they can’t recognize a real life situations when personal bias is certain to cloud a legal process.

More food for thought demonstrating biases favored by the media:

Obama favors Muslims

La Raza favors Mexicans

Hillary favors women

Rev. Wright favors Blacks

Lesbians prefer other lesbians

Why shouldn’t Trump favor Americans who aren’t biased against other Americans?

HERE is Patrick Buchannan's’ view on the subject which parallel’s my own.

And HERE is how Breitbart covers it.

Is ISIS the be-all and end-all of the Islamic threat?

Recent headlines and commentary warn us about ISIS.  They report that ISIS did this and ISIS did that and we have to confront ISIS as if it is the only aspect of Islam that is a threat that we need to be concerned about.

Over the last decade our concerns were focused on al Qaeda, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Taliban, Hezbollah, Boko Haram and Al-shabaab.  What do all of these terrorist organizations have in common?  Wikipedia has a page listing well over 150 terrorist groups designated by the nations of the world HERE.  The great majority are led and populated by Muslims based on their Islamic faith.  Yet recently only ISIS is reported as “the problem.”

This myopic view of the Islamic threat was highlighted by a recent article I read that focused only on ISIS as our current threat.  I wrote to the author to challenge that view as follows:

“…we are too focused on ISIS at the expense of ignoring Islam.   ISIS is all about Islamic doctrine, faithfully.  Islamic doctrine has spawned hundreds of other "ISISs" under different names.  Islamic doctrine has spawned millions of other one-man ISISs to do similar work.  The day that government officials, the media and others identify Islamic doctrine as the engine behind terror and subversion will be the FIRST day we really begin to identify the enemy we face.”

The reply to my comment was essentially this:

“Islam, as one of the world's leading religions/cultures, will never be attacked directly by any free world government…[because] among its adherents are millions of good, peaceful people the world over who don't favor radical Islamist doctrine, but are too afraid to stand up to terrorism... not even to the extent that you and I do in our newsletters. To have these peaceful Muslims turn against us is not a good idea. We shouldn't add hundreds of millions more Muslims to the ranks of the tens of millions of Islamist radicals who hate us now. “

The italicized, underlined text is our biggest problem.  We misunderstand the believers of Islam, including Islamic history and doctrine.  We mistakenly believe that the “millions of good, peaceful [Muslim] people the world over” don’t favor “radical Islamic doctrine.”  Newsflash:  The doctrine of ISIS is the doctrine of Islam.  Much of the West has not accepted and acknowledged this fact.  Consequently we have this misinformed fear that we will turn “good, peaceful Muslims” against us.”  We fail to admit that the chosen belief system of those good, peaceful Muslims, Islam, is endowed with built in hatred of the West, our culture, our form of governance and our faith.  The doctrine of Islam, as believed, taught, and practiced by most of today’s Islamic leaders would like nothing less than the annihilation of the US, Israel and the West, generally.

"Radical" Islamic doctrine is Islamic doctrine.  That is the problem that he and others are disillusioned by:  It is not "radical" Islamic doctrine.  It is simply "Islamic doctrine."  It is a big mistake to divide Islam into two parts:  Radical and non-radical.  They cannot be separated.

Believers in the Islamic ideology/religion/belief system almost universally believe in Sharia, the caliphate, and some form of jihad/supremacism/intolerance of other beliefs.   The "radicals" are the front line terrorists and their direct support system.  A huge number of other "moderate" Muslims support the radicals in numerous ways:  Financially, politically, logistically, socially and spiritually.  Check out recent surveys.  But also bear in mind that a core tenant of Islam is taqiyya.  Consequently surveys will not reveal true beliefs.   And remember that many Muslims that had been reported by our naïve media as "moderates" turned out to be some of the greatest promoters of ISIS, al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, etc.

He did acknowledge that…

“The big problem with Islam today is that the free world is doing almost nothing to stop groups like ISIS, and not just ISIS, but all Islamic terrorist organizations.

“ISIS spreads because no one capable of obliterating them has engaged them with the overwhelming force necessary to do the job. ISIS grows because its record of horrific accomplishments attracts the sickos of the world, who will cease to be drawn to ISIS only when it and its leadership are finally annihilated...ditto for all the other Islamist terrorist organizations.

“Few American understand that the defeat of Islamic terrorism and the Islamic Caliphate will soon require an effort not unlike the one undertaken to win World War II.”

This is all true.  I added the following to his comments:

Islam is a seditious ideology, just as Fascism was during WWII.  Were there "moderate" and "radical" Fascists during WWII.  I guess, sure.  The "radical" Fascists were the leaders, the politicians, the planners, the protectors, most of the military. The "moderate" Fascists were many of the rest who believed in the Fascist vision and supported the "radical Fascists" in any way they could.  Not all Germans were Fascist just like not all Middle Easterners are Muslim.  But all Fascists were Fascist and a danger to our existence at the time.  All Muslims are Muslims because they believe in the Islamic doctrine and have demonstrated general agreement with Islamic goals and methods:  Sharia, some form of jihad, supremacism, the Caliphate, etc.

He asked me, “what do we do about it?”  I replied,

The first thing we "do about it" is acknowledge the existence of the seditious belief system, Islam, just as we acknowledged the seditious belief system, Fascism.  But if we/you refuse to acknowledge the reality of the belief system, there is nothing effective that we WILL do.  Required action will not make sense and will be off limits.  If we DO acknowledge the reality of the belief system, the rest will take care of itself.  Taking effective action (whether it be cutting Muslim immigration, some deportations, monitoring mosques, whatever) will continue to be "off limits" as long as we continue to deny the reality of the Islamic doctrine, history and promises of today's majority Muslim leaders to ultimately force our submission to Islam.  Refusing to acknowledge the reality of what we are up against will not magically make the threat any less.  Know the life of Muhammad and you will know what Islam has in store.

I added,

A few years ago I pointedly asked Zudhi Jasser if he is willing to disregard the 60% of the Islamic Trilogy (Qur'an, Hadith, Sira) that calls for jihad, conversion, submission or elimination of the infidel, an Islamic Caliphate, Jew hatred, Sharia (which mandate treatment of women and homosexuals in ways we consider a crime).  He did not respond.  If he is such a motivated defender of "moderate" Islam, he could have at least made an attempt to explain.  If we disregarded 60% of the Bible, we would not be Christians.

But unlike Christianity, Islam mandates that nothing in their doctrine that Muhammad took literally and that most Muslims have practiced for 1,400 years can be "spiritualized" as we have done in Christianity.  Islam celebrates terror and conquest because Muhammad practiced terror and conquest.  Muslims who preach otherwise are either the exception, or doing it to protect themselves or Islam.  Christianity celebrates peace and forgiveness.  Christians who preach otherwise are the exception or doing it for defensive purposes.  That is the essence of the differences.

Most experts do not believe Islam is reformable, as we understand reform, given its history, established doctrine and momentum.  We understand "reform" as getting us back to our roots, the way we believed it was intended in the beginning.  Yes Islam is being "reformed" from what it was in the prior century, from a relatively benign feeling religion in the background, back to what it has been during most of its history and especially during its early growth and conquests under Muhammad and his offshoots.  It has been reformed back to its violent, supremacist roots.  Today's Islamic leaders are urging reform back to Islam's roots, the way Muhammad intended.  Muhammad was no Jesus.

Either way we are in for some tough times.  Like any looming and growing problem, first we have to identify it honestly.  Then we have to decide whether to take painful actions sooner, or suffer even greater pain later.

The writer then posited a supposition and a few rather provocative, extreme assumptions about possible actions given the realities of Islam as follows:

Here is his supposition:

“Even if the entire nation came to understand the horrific threat embodied in Islamic doctrine what would such an understanding cause us to do about it?

Here are his extreme assumptions of necessary actions that keep him and others from accepting reality:

    • Would we demonize Zudhi Jasser and his followers and throw them in jail as imminent threats to the America people?
    • Would we attempt to deport every Muslim from America?
    • Would we speak out against, and sever all relations with Muslim nations around the world simply because they believe in, and support, Islamic doctrine?
    • Would we wage war on those whose religion and culture are anti-American, and because the founder of that religion wanted to eliminate all infidels? Should we attempt to punish every Muslim for the murderous thoughts and actions of a few, even a lot of, crazies?”

He concludes,

“In light of this, how in heaven's name could the U.S. ever reach the conviction that Islam itself, the religion and the culture, should be denounced as the nation's number one enemy?”

In other words, he apparently believes Islam is too big, too widespread to admit that Islamic doctrine is threatening and evil, even if in truth it really does pose an existential threat to the West.  Therefore we shouldn’t even consider Islam as an enemy.

Here is my reply to his supposition and related provocative assumptions…

"Would we demonize Zudhi Jasser and his followers and throw them in jail as imminent threats to the America people?"

No.  There is no reason to jump to the worst possible measures in the case of Muslims who appear to be supporting Western values like Jasser does.  In cases like his we simply need to recognize that he is "wishing" what Islam could be.  We need to recognize that he does not speak of what Islam is.  We just need to know that his "wish" does not reflect Islam, either its orthodox doctrine or the manner most Islamic leaders today interpret and implement Islamic doctrine.   Right now we fawn over the Jassers of the the world believing they speak for the real Islam.  Wrong!  This is one of those steps that would be a no brainer once we correctly acknowledged the motives and methods of Islamic doctrine and history.  But until then, we will continue to self-deceive.

"Would we attempt to deport every Muslim from America?"

Again, suggesting only the most extreme action (intended to suggest how mean spirited we are?) is the only action is not helpful. How about developing a more deliberative and effective vetting process to only admit those who disavow sharia, jihad, the Caliphate in its literal sense, and other aspects of Islam that would warn of seditious activity?  How about a temporary ban of anyone from predominantly Islamic countries, or those who have recently traveled from those countries, with exceptions, until an effective vetting system is developed?  How about deporting Muslims who don't have valid US citizenship and whose actions (public writings, associations, postings, etc.) indicate a seditious belief and intent?  Again, none of these steps seem "American" unless we correctly acknowledged the motives and methods of Islamic doctrine and history.  Once acknowledged, these steps, and more, would seem perfectly reasonable.

Would we speak out against, and sever all relations with Muslim nations around the world simply because they believe in, and support, Islamic doctrine?

To the extent that their leadership has proclaimed hatred and doom to the West or our allies (tantamount to a declaration of war), absolutely.  I would think that Iran and territories controlled by ISIS, al Qaeda, and others who have made similar declarations, would be candidates.  We should reconsider our support of Turkey due to the Erdogan government's current policies.  Libya is another candidate along with a few other African nations.  Saudi Arabia is a big question mark, if you are familiar with the likely content of the redacted "28 pages" of the 9-11 Commission report as well as Saudi Arabia's massive contributions to Middle Eastern Studies Departments of dozens of American universities that are nothing more than Islamic propaganda and recruitment centers.

Would we wage war on those whose religion and culture are anti-American, and because the founder of that religion wanted to eliminate all infidels?

Again, an exaggerated extreme.  But we would be right to oppose their propaganda and effectively counter it in numerous ways.  Right now we are embracing or excusing these rants in the spirit of tolerance, multiculturalism, and our refusal to acknowledge the truth of Islamic doctrine.  We've lost the will to believe and announce that we have a superior culture, form of governance and moral code.  We consider all ideologies universally equal.  We tell each other there is no such thing as evil anymore.  We need to get over that mistake.

Should we attempt to punish every Muslim for the murderous thoughts and actions of a few, even a lot of, crazies?  This is another exaggerated extreme.  But not far off.  We mistakenly assume that just because a declared Muslim isn’t currently in the act of a mass shooting, beheading, or detonation that he is benign.  The fact that he believes at least most of what Islam teaches should be a red flag.  We would be right to monitor mosques in the same manner we monitored Nazi meeting places and cells during WWII.   We would be right to put down demonstrations promoting Islamic doctrine as we would do regarding any other seditious demonstration and ideology.  Again, these will seem unreasonable, un-American, and mean-spirited actions UNLESS we truthfully acknowledge the reality of Islamic doctrine, history and intent.

Yes, we are divided in our desire to commit troops to the battles in the Middle East to destroy the worst elements of a vile ideology that promises destruction of our way of life.  And the reason we are divided is because our government, much of academia, and most of the media fail to acknowledge the reality of Islamic doctrine.  As Allen West accurately observed, we are fighting a "tactic", terrorism.  We need to be fighting an ideology, Islam, in its full orthodox, Muhammadan bloom.  Until we acknowledge that orthodox (call it "fundamentalist" if you wish) Islam is what principally motivates Muslims to engage in their anti-Western fervor, we will fail.

We fight "the radicals" in the Middle East as if they are the only ones who believe what they believe that motivates them to do what they do.  Wrong!  The majority Muslim populations believe most of the same things "the radicals" believe, especially the Islamic vision, as well as most of the tactics.  THIS is a helpful article that was recently brought to my attention titled "Mohammed, Islamic History, and the Bloody Future of the West."

I am one example of those who feel we have no business militarily in the Middle East at the present time.  I say "at the present time" because until we acknowledge the political components of Islamic doctrine and the widespread belief and support of those doctrines by those populations, we will continue to fail with the type of military action we have engaged in.  And again I say, once we accurately acknowledge Islamic doctrine and its widespread belief, we will unshackle our military in ways that will bring victory instead of being mired in a perpetual and losing battle as we have done now for over a decade.  I commend the website Political Islam to you which reveals the overarching political component of Islamic texts and doctrine.

I commended the following web site for a variety of “solutions” to our current ineffective policies: Islamic Threat Simplified website that focuses on actions we could or should take - gathered from a variety of sources, HERE.

Finally, in answer to his last question,

“In light of this, how in heaven's name could the U.S. ever reach the conviction that Islam itself, the religion and the culture, should be denounced as the nation's number one enemy?”

Because if we don’t, we are screwed.  Denying reality will not save us.

Liberal on-line media bowing to EU clamp-down on free speech…

Here are two troubling events impacting free speech in the US:

This first one as reported by Bloomberg proclaims “Tech Giants Vow to Tackle Online Hate Speech Within 24 Hours.”  These “tech giants” (Facebook, Twitter and others) are following the lead of mandates promoted by the European Union (EU).

Unfortunately, “hate speech” as interpreted by the EU is anything that offends anyone, even if the so-called “hate speech” is the truth.  Muslims, especially, have taken advantage of this unique sensitivity of Western culture – not wanting to offend, aka “political correctness.”

An early manifestation of this new on-line media censorship policy is SiriusXM’s suspension of Glenn Beck over an interview with Brad Thor inferring a desire to have Trump assassinated.  Trump supporters are cheering their heads off over Becks’ suspension.

But wait a minute.  Becks’ suspension is not only a double-edged sword, but is ominous and dangerous censorship overreach.   As much as many of us believe that Beck has gone to the darker side over the past few months, his interview with Brad Thor is not suspension-worthy “hate speech.”  Sirius failed to consider the context of the presumed intent of the comments.

Thor prefaced the ensuing dialogue with Beck with this statement:  “It is a hypothetical I am going to ask as a thriller writer.”  This Breitbart article puts the conversation in better context.  The Sirius suspension is based on a broad brush interpretation taken out of context.

This is just an early example of what EU censorship policy will do to our own freedom of speech.  We will be banned from writing anything that offends anyone.  Christians writing about Christianity will offend Muslims.  Biblical quotes about homosexuals will offend queers.  Anyone writing the truth about Islam will offend Muslims.  Any fiction writer positing a plot of a present or future book will ironically offend the allegedly tolerant liberal media.  This exemplifies the intolerance of “tolerance” that has become a hallmark of the left.

We desperately need to unshackle control of the media, both broadcast and internet, from control by leftists.  The leadership and culture of both Facebook and Twitter are in the hands of these elitists: The most intolerant of tolerance in our culture today.  Certainly there is a conservative or at least “middle ground” alternative out there somewhere.

Targeted responses…

This is from the “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore” department.

First up:  Oreos.

I used to love Oreos.  The last package of Oreos I bought was last week.  When I got home I opened the package and tried to remove the first one.  It crumpled in half.  I took that as a one off coincidence.  Over the next several days I tried to pluck out several more.  They all came out in pieces.  Curious about the rest of them, I found that the whole bunch were broken in half, or worse.  The first thing that crossed my mind was their trip from Mexico, crossing the Rio Grande and making their way too Florida was too much for them.  So I returned the half empty package full of Oreo remnants to Publix and traded it in for a mini Blueberry Pie manufactured where?  In Publix, probably Jacksonville, FL.  I also told the cashier who was busy selling lottery tickets that the Oreo’s trip from Mexico was too hard on them.  I doubt she understood.  Those Oreo crumbs were my last until Oreos decide to make a shorter trip from anywhere in the US.

Next up, Target stores:

I was researching air purifiers on-line.  A product from Target popped up.  I looked at it to compare.  It might have been a contender but for Target’s gender confusion.  As a result of that Target search, I received a survey from Target.  At the end of the survey they asked for my opinions.  I wrote that I might have considered purchasing an item from them if it were not for their gender confusion and stupid public bathroom policies that pander to the perversions of 0.1% of the US population.  By the way, I agree with everything Rush Limbaugh said on the subject a couple of days ago HERE.

“It’s not about what happens in bathrooms…Everybody knows this is just yet another vehicle that extreme liberals are using to undermine and overthrow and transform the founding culture of the United States.”

Rush Limbaugh

Next up, verbiage change regarding “gays”:

I surprised myself a few days ago when conversing about our government’s gender confusion.  I actually used the word “queer” when discussing gays.  I have never done that before.  I tried to be respectful most of my life.  My attitude had been let sleeping perverts lie.  As long as they don’t force their Image result for responses to target transgender boycottperversion on others, I’m ok.  We all fall short.  But there are limits.  So I had to ask myself  “why now and why that “q” word?”  Well, there are such things as “odd” and “queer” for a reason.  But when the odd and queer and perverse and unruly and disrespectful and obnoxious and threatening get out of control and attempt to impose themselves on the other 99% of us, that’s a problem.  I think this situation has the same root cause as Obama’s pandering to criminal black hoodlums.  Obama’s policies toward Blacks and police and the law has soured the attitudes of many Americans toward blacks.  Obama has eroded race relations back several decades.  He is jamming the “rights” of punk blacks down our throat.  He is doing the same with regard to to sexual perversion – jamming immorality down the throat of parents, children and the mores that have buttressed American civilization over the centuries.   I now feel it fair game to call them what they are, “queers”.  “Just like Obama”, some will say.

Next up, Jeff Bezos and Amazon:

Jeff is a great business man and an even greater free trade guy.  He hates the idea of a balanced trade policy because it will somehow work against his business plan.  And consequently he also hates Donald Trump who favors US jobs to Chinese jobs.  If nothing else, Amazon is a great place to look at product reviews.  I tried ordering a couple of items there but product delivery would take 3 weeks or more for the model I wanted.  Further web searches discovered Best Buy’s “price matching” policy.  So I documented Amazon’s cheapest price for my air purifier that they wouldn’t deliver for a month (I guess that’s how long it takes to arrive here from China) and used that to get a great price from Best Buy – and delivered in a week.  Take THAT, Trump-hating Bezos.  I will be sure to take advantage of Best Buys’ price matching policy in the future to avoid Amazon as much as possible – at least until Trump balances the trading field between us and China.  HERE is more on the Trump/Bezos tussle.

Oh, I almost forgot…I refuse to click on Washington Post articles that don’t allow comments from readers.  I don’t appreciate one-way brain washing – especially from Bezos progressives.

These are four little ways I am making my feelings known.  If 100 million of us did the same, it might make a difference.

The first mainstream media story of the inevitable US debt default…

This is from the “but Sapphire, you can’t do dat…” department.  Peter Schiff and Donald Trump agree that default on our national debt may be required.

Kingfish is “entitled” just like too many citizens feel entitled.

Schiff prefers to call it “restructuring” rather than default, although he also uses the “d” word.  But the reality is that our national debt is so huge with no possibility that the rate of increase will decline.  Even worse, the current rock bottom interest rates cannot be maintained forever.  Once rates start their upward march, we will see our national debt increase at an exponential rate that will not be sustainable for long.

Something will need to be done, and the sooner the better.

HERE is the CNBC story.  The video of Peter Schiff laying out the problem and required solution is below:

I can hear Hillary now:  “There goes Donald , saying ridiculous things again.  We will never have to default.  We can keep raising our debt ceiling forever.  As long as I have anything to do with it, we will continue to kick the can down the road. It doesn’t matter.  [now squealing] What difference at this point does it make?”

But Sapphire, you can’t do dat!

Here is the difference:  The longer the inevitable is put off, the worse it will be for all Americans.  No politician wants to be in office when the inevitable happens.  Only a non-politician like Trump will have the courage to do what is necessary to enhance our prosperity.  Trump and Schiff realize that as long as the burgeoning national debt albatross is hanging around America’s neck, prosperity will not be possible and decline will be our lot.

All other candidates would prefer to ignore the problem until our economy suffers an unavoidable, uncontrolled, terrible collapse.

Here is more from Zero Hedge, this time with Trump clarifying his earlier comments about “restructuring” and “default.

And, for your listening enjoyment, here is Tennessee Ernie Ford.  Except instead of “company store” in the lyrics, substitute “China.”

The Trump effect on Russian clicks on my blog…

The map and table below indicate the recent national source of page views on my blog as reported by Google Stats.  Never have I seen the clicks from Russia exceed those from the United States.  In fact I don’t recall the Russian viewers being more than a small fraction of US viewers before this.

I attribute this surge of Russian audience to the “Trump effect.”  Trump has hinted at greater friendship with Russia along with his appreciation of Russia’s  assistance in our common fight against the threat posed by the Islamic ideology and the fanatics who implement it.

I have thought for some time that the alleged hostile relationship between Russia and the United States was overblown.  We have much more in common than we have differences.

Over the last couple of decades Russia has edged a bit toward the freer political and economic systems of the US.  There is still a ways to go.

And, sadly, the United States has edged toward the more regulated and less free political and economic systems of Russia.

While we have not yet “met in the middle” – there are still great differences in our political systems and economies – we are more alike than most realize:  In religion, in race, in cultures, in aspirations, and in many cases, in heritage.

Donald Trump recognizes the common interests we share.  He is a breath of fresh air in that regard and in many other ways.

Hopefully there are those in Russia who also appreciate the good that can come from those who share the reality of our common interests as well.

Congratulations Donald Trump

Mr. Trump won Indiana by over 15 points and Ted Cruz has suspended his campaign.

Now, regarding the upcoming Republican convention and campaign against crooked Hillary, here is a must see and must send video:

A current Trump employee who excoriates those who slander Trump’s name and reputation.

And for a bit of celebratory humor, here is a Canadian’s travel monologue for Trump haters who have vowed to move to Canada if Trump wins.  Bon Voyage.  We will be a better nation for it.

Nationalism or One-world government: The choices before us…

These are the political options as I see it.  For those who dislike “black and white” comparisons, tough tamales (in deference to borderless Mexico).  It is black and white.

The parties and especially the candidates’ polices make this a black and white issue.

The Democrats are clearly for a one-world government.  Obama, the Clintons, Sanders, Pelosi – the whole crew promote free trade, borderless migration, infinite immigration, policing the world, and foreign handouts we cannot afford.  Reducing our nation’s sovereignty is an acceptable casualty of their aspirations.  Secretary of State Kerry wants a “borderless world” as he pleads HERE.

Every one of their policies rack up our national debt, cause us to eliminate jobs while making the United States less autonomous and more subject to the actions of other nations for our prosperity or impoverishment.  They are “progressives”, and the progressive mantra is elimination of national borders and culture while inexorably moving toward one-world governance. The options could also be seen as “greater national sovereignty or less.”

The Republican establishment comprised of the majority in Congress and their supporters and financiers - aka “special interests” - are in philosophical if not procedural lockstep with the Dems with regard to this One World business.  They have the same aspirations, but at a more gradual and less overt pace.  The analogy I will use is “radical Muslims” and “moderate Muslims.”  They both have the same ultimate objective – a one world Islamic Caliphate.  The radicals want it quicker.  The moderates will take their time.

***

Jeff Session ID’s the same choices HERE.

***

Donald Trump, and to a significantly lesser extent, Teddy Cruz, are the exceptions.  Trumps’ mantra has recently crystalized into “nationalism” – America first.  This wasn’t real clear at the beginning of the campaigns, was it.  Now it is.  He wants every action taken by our government to benefit our Image result for nationalismnation – not the world at large.  Cruz occasionally sounds like he has a similar message, but his recent allies – Rubio, Kasich, Bush, Graham, Fiorina, and “one-world” leaning conservative media – along with his Goldman Sachs wife, Heidi, compromise his sincerity.

Look at Trumps’ most often stated priorities:

  • Border wall – reducing cheap foreign labor that unfairly competes for our jobs; cutting welfare expense to illegals
  • Correct trade imbalances by entering into trade agreements that benefit American workers more than foreign workers
  • Strengthened military – so that we can bargain from a position of strength
  • Scrap job-killing Obamacare
  • Jobs:  Every action is focused on enhancing job opportunities and wages for American citizens
  • Reduce foreign aid – the level of handouts that we cannot afford given to nations that we cannot effectively influence
  • Stop subsidizing foreign defenses and encourage our allies to devote more of their own resources to defend themselves

Package all these policy proposals together and we have what progressives call “bigoted”, “racist”, and “xenophobic.”      Or in other words, what we have in the past cherished as “nationalistic”, “patriotic”, “loyal”, and “special.”  What just a few decades ago were thought of as great qualities of proud American citizens have been turned on their ear by progressives and become hateful qualities.  Trump is the one candidate who has hit a chord with what I sincerely hope is a majority of us who would like to return to these positive American, and yes, nationalistic qualities.

In Islam, nationalism is abhorrent.  Anti-nationalism is a common bond between progressives and Muslims that helps explain progressives’ affinity for and lack of real concern about Islam.  I just discovered THIS Islamic web site that demonstrates Islam’s anti-nationalist sentiment.Image result for the hanging tree islam

Europe is further along this progressivist, one-world road than is the United States.  A Trump presidency may provide a short-lived reprieve from our trek toward Bush’s New World Order.  But it might also provide a spark that ignites enough pride in our nation to foster a multi-generation march to rebuilding our damaged national pride and prosperity.

To see an example of the extent of sentiment against nationalism, I invite you to Google “Google Images” and enter the word “nationalism.”  You will see in a significant portion of the images how our media and much of the world view nationalism.  Progressives don’t mind sacrificing a very good thing, the former greatness of our nation to join the relative mediocrity of the rest of the world.

Among potential VP women, Joni Ernst stands out

This is how my research began…

My wife casually mentioned that Condoleezza Rice would be a good VP pick for Trump.  So I followed up on that suggestion by Googling “possible Trump VP candidates.”

I focused on women first because that would neutralize the Hillary gender card effect and  THIS website popped up that proposed five options for a female VP:

  • Susana Martinez, New Mexico Governor
  • Kelly Ayotte, New Hampshire Senator
  • Condoleezza Rice, former  Secretary of State under George Bush
  • Joni Ernst, Iowa Senator
  • Carly Fiorina, former HP exec. and former presidential candidate.

So what about these five?  Do any have potential land mines or obvious positives that would both counter the Hillary debacle and satisfy most conservatives?  While they all have some positives in terms of catering to gender or ethnicity, most have qualities that conflict with Trump’s messaging.

Here are the land mines:

  • Susana Martinez:  She does NOT support repeal of Obamacare in its entirely.  She supports Common Core.  While her Mexican heritage may bring Latino votes, it may also raise concerns about Mexican immigration, both legal and illegal.
  • Kelly Ayotte:  She voted for the comprehensive immigration reform bill of the Gang of Eight.  She voted to extend unemployment benefits to disincentivized the unemployed seeking employment.  She believes “climate change” is real and caused by human activity and supports the Clean Power Plan to address climate change and protect the environment.
  • Condoleezza Rice:  Her baggage is her role as Bush’s surrogate during the Iraq war – she was a proponent of that war.  She championed the ill-informed notion that democracies can be made of centuries old Islamic tribes and Sharia-inclined governments. From Wikipedia:  “In early December 2008, Rice praised President-elect Barack Obama's selection of New York Senator Hillary Clinton to succeed her as Secretary of State, saying "she's terrific".
  • Carly Fiorina:  Carly is Cruz’s VP pick.  Not a good one, either.  She is viewed by many as a failed executive.  She sides with the notion that climate change is real and caused by human activity.  She supported the DREAM Act that provided a path to citizenship illegals who graduate from US colleges or serve in the armed forces.  She was critical of Trump’s proposal to stop Muslim immigration “until we can figure what the hell is going on.”  She expresses little concern about Islam.  And her favorite business author is Communism’s inspiration, Hegel?  Wow!  Here is more on why Carly is a poor choice.

Joni Ernst:  I did not find ANY land mines in Joni Ernst’s Wikipedia profile.

In fact, virtually ALL of her political positions would support the concerns expressed by Trump throughout his campaign.  missing-bioAdd to that the fact that she is the only one of this bunch who served in the US military – having served from 1993 to 2015,  and retired from the National Guard as a Lt. Colonel.  Her current position as a mid-West senator will strengthen Trump’s status in our heartland.  She has been mild and forgiving in Trump’s comments about some women despite the biased headlines that infer otherwise.

Her lack of negatives and her many positives that promote the conservative agenda make her not merely a legitimate pick for Trump’s VP but also superior to Cruz’s pick.  And she represents more of what thinking citizens believe is urgently needed to be done to make America great again.

Being a known “rule” doesn’t make it right…

I have listened to way too many pundits defending the delegate rules Republicans have used for decades.   They rail against those who believe the rules are “unfair” or “trickery”.  They claim there is nothing unfair about them because they have been in existence a long time.  They claim there is no trickery because the rules are there for anyone to see.

Those defenses of the “rules” miss the point of the concern of the American voter.  While the rules may have existed for a long time Majority Rules cartoons, Majority Rules cartoon, funny, Majority Rules picture, Majority Rules pictures, Majority Rules image, Majority Rules images, Majority Rules illustration, Majority Rules illustrationsand were there for anyone who looked to see, the rules themselves promote insider dealing and lock the voter out of the process.

Not even none other than the otherwise intelligent Rush Limbaugh has made the point clearly.  Even he is all about “well, the rule has been there.”  So has cancer.

Just because a rule is there that benefits “the Party” does not make it fair to the voter.  What’s fair about a rule bypassing the voter and putting some bribed delegate in line ahead of the voters to influence the outcome of the national nomination?  The rules perpetuate a rigged system in favor of the establishment, which Ted Cruz is revealing he is a part of more than we were led to believe.

There are several examples of “rules” that have outlived their usefulness, or perhaps were not even fair or legitimate to begin with.

The rules of British combat during the American Revolution – line ‘em up, head ‘em out to the beat of a drum with an audience of loyalists along the sidelines -  proved to be a severe detriment to British success.

The rules against African American use of the lunch counters or white only Image result for insider rulesrestrooms were well known and in effect for decades.  Did that make them right?

Congress, too, is well known for making fairly outlandish rules.

And currently, there are rules that intimidate and prevent  those who understand the threat of Islamic doctrine from freely speaking out with the truth about Islam in many parts of Europe, but will lead to disaster for those nations being Islamified into submission because of them.

Just because a rule has been around awhile and is well known does not make it a fair, equitable, legitimate or provide a good outcome.

View this:

Gap between party rules and popular democracy widening...

Those who defend the delegate rules because “they’ve been there the whole time for all to see” does not mean the rule is legitimate and promotes good government.   To the contrary, such rules deprive the citizens of a legitimate say in the nominating process, place the Party ahead of the will of the people, and ultimately disenfranchise the voters in the entire so-called democratic voting process.   If tradition is wrong – to hell with tradition.  If the rule is wrong – to hell with the rule.

Quit defending the indefensible!

Asexual, bisexual, unisexual, transsexual: Confused minds reign supreme…

This is from the Department of Utter Confusion, not to be confused with the transsexual female perspective, “udder confusion.”

It was bound to happen.  Gay marriage, celebration of homosexuality, open homosexuality mandated in the military; these have all led to acceptance of many other forms of behavior formerly universally understood to be  perverted , now sanctioned by law and pop culture.  The latest is the implied sanction given to perverts to use the restroom, men’s or woman’s, of their choice.  Sexual perversion is granted the same legal protection as racial integration.

Here is one commentator’s view of this cultural oddity:

In my opinion it’s a no-win situation.  Trump’s answer was an attempt to escape through the horns of the bull.

That would be my stance also, but the freakin’ ACLU and the confused bastards who don’t know WTF they are will beat it to death (no pun intended).

We’ll just have to see how it plays out.  That having been said, I’d throw it back to the entity that offers the bathrooms.  Mark’em “men only” and “women only” or “confused men” and “confused women.”  Or maybe clarify it with “pricks” and “pussys.”  Or if trans-gender becomes national law “men—keep your hands to yourself” and “women—no peeking.”  Or maybe have all bathrooms labelled “gender neutral” with the added line on ladies  rooms “caution, no urinals.”    Or maybe have just men and women as it is now with the added line “if you’re confused, come back when you figured it out.”  Would it be permissible to have “gender neutral” on both bathrooms with the added line “no perverts?”  How about changing the admonition that used to be seen at FBOs in men’s rooms at smaller airports: “All pilots with small props and low manifold pressure please taxi closer to the fuel pits”  To read “All men with no props, please go sit.”

However we poke fun at our moral decline, it is just that:  A nation that is fine with the moral abyss in the name of “freedom of choice” - a radical obsession with judging those who hang on to any sense of morality as “bigots.”    Stated another way, we are a nation seeing no use for traditional morality.

The mentally confused perverts of our nation are driving our social and legal agenda.  How the hell did that happen?  Here’s how.  Most churches, the self-proclaimed Christians, religious Jews, and those who took traditional morality for granted no longer care.  It is easier to “go with the flow.”  They cannot think of any good reason to uphold moral principles.  It’s too hard, too time consuming, and besides, there are too many other priorities that are more fun, more rewarding, and less controversial.

There are a more than a few of us “holdouts” who clearly see this as a leading indicator of, if not the fall of Western civilization, the precipitous decline of a formerly great nation.

While I love Donald Trump’s message of “make America great again”, that will not and cannot happen without the moral underpinnings that made us great in the first place.  Fiscal discipline and prosperity and status as a respected world power are not sustainable without self-disciplined moral principles (mores) based on beliefs in powers much greater than our mere selves.  Such powers and principles have begun to allude a critical mass of our population.

Image result for princeHere is one more example of the priorities of our pop culture.  Try entering the word “Prince” into Google images.  Instead of respected national leaders of formerly great nations  popping up in that search, 98% of the images are of Prince, the deceased pop iconic performer.  The death of Prince has consumed more hours of national news in his death than I remember any other national figure receiving in the last decade.
PRINCE'S DRUG DEALER SPEAKS: $40,000 AT A TIME FOR 25 YEARS...  Yes, our culture worships THAT!  So why should we wonder why we don’t care who uses which bathroom?

God help us!
