We met another one tonight…

We were at a party tonight when the topic of Obama came up.  When my wife opined to the couple across the table that she believed Obama was a Muslim, she thought the man was going to lunge across the table and hit her.  In a less than soft voice he said he was very angry, and jettisoned himself away from the table before another word was said.  Muslim apologists and Obama defenders (same thing) are pretty sensitive – I think intolerant is the word – of other peoples opinions.  Of course it didn’t help when I laughed at his loss of control.

You would think this man was a Muslim in Syria offended by Mohammad cartoons the way he reacted.  If this man was a military psychologist, he would be suspected of “snapping” and becoming a Jihadi.

The fact is, millions of Americans increasingly believe that Hussein Obama is a closet Muslim at worst, and an Islamic promoter at best.   Take a look at this video if you haven’t done so yet.

Just wait till we learn of Obama’s proposed alliance with Afghanistan’s neighbors to the west, Islamic Iran or Turkey, to “assist us” in subduing al Qaeda.  He will do anything to avoid facing the real agenda of Islam.

Folks like this couple this evening who believe Islam (the fascist ideology it really is) is just like any other religion, who adore anyone who defends and promotes that ideology, and who suggests Christianity is just as bad will one day discover how utterly clueless they really were.  We could have lit up that party if we tweaked this couple by pointing out their ignorantly amoral attitude after they proclaimed that Catholics are as bad as Muslims.  "Moral equivalence" anyone?  We probably would have had to reimburse the recreation center for their destruction of property.

Deeming the investigators “ignorant”

Unbelievable and frightening.  No.  Not the Jihadists.  The ignorance of our FBI and other intelligence officials.

Remember the emails Hasan wrote to radical al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al Awlaki that the FBI intercepted, but “deemed innocent.”  Do you wonder what the emails said?

From ABC News:

United States Army Major Nidal Hasan told a radical cleric considered by authorities to be an al-Qaeda recruiter, "I can't wait to join you" in the afterlife, according to an American official with top secret access to 18 e-mails exchanged between Hasan and the cleric, Anwar al Awlaki, over a six month period between Dec. 2008 and June 2009.

"Hasan told Awlaki he couldn't wait to join him in the discussions they would having over non-alcoholic wine in the afterlife," the official said.

One military analyst, Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a military analyst at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies, said…

"It sounds like code words.  That he's actually either offering himself up or that he's already crossed that line in his own mind."

Code words, indeed.  These were the words of a clearly devout Muslim whose light bulb of “sudden Jihad” just clicked on.  Are these ignorant fools (FBI and senior military) so out of touch with religion, generally, and Islam specifically, that they are blind to a devout radical when one is staring them in the face?

Our intelligence agencies and military officers need to spend much LESS time on training in political correctness and cultural diversity, and much MORE time on training in Islamic doctrine and signs of becoming “devout.”   It is true that in Islam “devout” is synonomous with “radical.”  The ones who become “devout” seem to be the very ones who seem to come down with the so-called “sudden Jihad syndrome.”

On a related note, Evan Kohlmann, a senior investigator for the New York-based NEFA Foundation, which researches Islamic militants, had this to say:

"The point is you don't have to be an official part of Al Qaeda to spread hatred and sectarian views.  If you look at the most influential documents in terms of homegrown terrorism cases, it's not training manuals on building bombs. The most influential documents are the ones that are written by theological advisers, some of whom are not even official Al Qaeda members."

Increasing the devoutness of Muslims in this country toward true Islam motivates them to find their own “best weapon” to demonstrate their faithfulness to Allah. 

They don’t use just “bombs”, you morons.  C’mon, FBI, get a clue!  You need to understand the motivation – the teachings of Islam – and not focus on the weapon of the moment.

What liberals have in common with the ignorant

Ignorant in the good sense:  Being unaware.

On virtually every topic I have the opportunity to dialogue with liberals about, the one thing they have in common is their ignorance of the topic about which they opine – or rather about which they throw out trite phrases.

Example one:  Discussion about morality or lack thereof of “free trade” - how freely corporations pollute and indulge in child labor and slave wages in other nations to avoid being subject to the laws and economy of our own nation.  Her response:  “You can’t legislate morality.”  The reality is every law on the books legislates morality, from the prohibition of  murder to having only one spouse, to not stealing someone else’s property.  The debate is over whose morality is legislated, not whether morality can be legislated.

Example two: Discussion about the nature of Islam.  He opined that Islam is indeed a religion of peace.  It is difficult to discuss a subject with someone who is totally oblivious to the facts without sounding preachy and condescending.  But a head in the sand will avoid the truth every time.

Example three:  She said Obama will be a great president and voted for him - even after I pointed out all his radical associations and socialist policies enunciated in Audacity of Hope.  Fuzzy hope prevailed over logic and wisdom.

I am convinced that liberals are who they are because of a genuine lack of information, concern, or a desire to remain oblivious.  They live in an information vacuum that is filled by whatever media fluff fills their senses.  These are not stupid people as in “lacking intelligence.”  They are certainly intellectually capable.  They just have no desire to understand many of the issues around them.  To defend their ignorance, they dogmatically repeat trite, warm and fuzzy sentiments that feel good, but bear little relevance to the topic being discussed.

Frustrating.

The General Vs. The President - Update

Update:

While this original blog post assumed some connivance by the "media", this could be either White House or Military connivance. Here's an article detailing some interesting speculation of how and why the story was leaked.

McChrystal is deadlocked in a battle with Obama to get the resources to carry out the mission the President directed only five months ago. Obama is indecisive - balking - perhaps changing his mind. The General is frustrated, perhaps angry, and growing desperate to not lose excessive troops and fail in the mission. Any manager caught in the catch 22 of being responsible for completing a project and having essential resources withheld midstream can relate to the General's problem. I still believe it is a waste of lives, time, and money to attempt to change the "hearts and minds" of those dark-age souls. There is nothing to build on. The most we need to do is empower the CIA and special forces to keep an ear to the ground over there to track what is brewing that could directly impact our nation.

The top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan warns in an urgent, confidential assessment of the war that he needs more forces within the next year and bluntly states that without them, the eight-year conflict "will likely result in failure," according to a copy of the 66-page document obtained by The Washington Post.

An urgent, confidential assessment? Hardly. How do these things get “obtained?”

Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal says emphatically: "Failure to gain the initiative and reverse insurgent momentum in the near-term (next 12 months) -- while Afghan security capacity matures -- risks an outcome where defeating the insurgency is no longer possible."

His assessment was sent to Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates on Aug. 30 and is now being reviewed by President Obama and his national security team.

This is great. The public and the enemy get to review this confidential assessment at the same time as the President. Peachy!

…he repeatedly warns that without more forces and the rapid implementation of a genuine counterinsurgency strategy, defeat is likely. McChrystal describes an Afghan government riddled with corruption and an international force undermined by tactics that alienate civilians.

“Corrupt government?” Sounds familiar. Corruption is relative, like everything else - a matter of degree. The Afghan government must be really corrupt.

He provides extensive new details about the Taliban insurgency, which he calls a muscular and sophisticated enemy that uses modern propaganda and systematically reaches into Afghanistan's prisons to recruit members and even plan operations.

Muslims “recruit members” from within the prisons? They do the same thing in US prisons. Why should it be any different in Afghanistan?

McChrystal's assessment is one of several options the White House is considering. His plan could intensify a national debate in which leading Democratic lawmakers have expressed reluctance about committing more troops to an increasingly unpopular war. Obama said last week that he will not decide whether to send more troops until he has "absolute clarity about what the strategy is going to be."

After 8 years in Afghanistan our leaders don’t have clarity about what the strategy is going to be? After 9 months in office, our President doesn’t have absolute clarity about what the strategy is going to be? How bazaar is that? How can we explain that? For starters, I take a look at the Obama book “The Audacity of Hope.” In it he speaks of his Muslim heritage, but not once in the extensive multi-hundred entry index to that book does the word “Islam” or “Muslim” appear. And nothing in the context of the reasons we are in the midst of two wars. This gives me a sense that he is either oblivious to the nature and threat of that fascist movement or he is deceptively part of it.

The commander has prepared a separate detailed request for additional troops and other resources, but defense officials have said he is awaiting instructions before sending it to the Pentagon.

Sounds like a General butt protection measure. Don’t send what he really recommends until the recommendation is approved. That’s creepy. Sound eerily like the Vietnam methodology: another freakin’ political war. If that’s the case, get our asses out of there! Hussein Obama has already declared he has no intention of winning.

Senior administration officials asked The Post over the weekend to withhold brief portions of the assessment that they said could compromise future operations. A declassified version of the document, with some deletions made at the government's request, appears at washingtonpost.com.

Asked to “withhold brief portions of the assessment?” It sounds like the trustworthy Post has the entire classified document. Again, how do they do that? Why?

Here is the essence of the decision to be made. McChrystal makes the distinction:

McChrystal makes clear that his call for more forces is predicated on the adoption of a strategy in which troops emphasize protecting Afghans rather than killing insurgents or controlling territory. Most starkly, he says: "[I]nadequate resources will likely result in failure. However, without a new strategy, the mission should not be resourced."

“Without a new strategy, the mission should not be resourced.” From the sounds of the “new strategy” the mission shouldn’t be resourced either. The new strategy is to spend our resources (several hundred billion over the next several years) on making the Muslims in Afghanistan happy. The problem with that is we have to become like them for them to become happy. Becoming “like them” means we have to become Muslim or become subservient to their religion, their culture, and their Sharia law.

How about a different “new strategy.” Learn about the historical fascist teachings of Islam and understand that that “religion” is in the midst of an Islamic reformation that is reinstituting Muhammad’s original teachings and militaristic practices of the dark ages. Then decide what we want to stand up for – decide whether our own values and religions and culture are worth standing up for and fighting for. This is where our confusion lies. Only after we do that will we have the motivation to really defend and fight for what we believe in. Until then, we our pi—ing our resources away.

We have a lot to do to keep our own house in order. We don’t even have enough understanding of Islam to do that.

Senator Warner Declares Homosexual Acts “Moral”

How many of our long-standing, culture-shaping “moral standards” rooted in the Bible are going to bow to special interest pressure and become “politically incorrect?”

As recently as a few years ago, the big news would have been someone being “outed” for the immorality of homosexual behavior. Today the big news is someone being “outed” for suggesting that homosexuality is immoral.

Here is the story:

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Pentagon's top general expressed regret Tuesday for voicing his personal view that homosexuality is immoral, but he did not apologize for the comment that drew criticism from lawmakers and gay-rights groups.
In a newspaper interview Monday, Marine Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, likened homosexual acts to adultery and said the military should not condone it by allowing gays to serve openly in the armed forces._________________

In response to General Pace’s comments, Senator John Warner declared that homosexuality, and by extension, homosexual acts, are not immoral. In other words, he declares homosexual acts to be moral.

Perhaps John holds Biblical principles in low esteem. Perhaps John, like many others, believe the Biblical criticism of homosexuality is a vague, isolated and detached principle bearing little relationship to the primary theme of Scripture. Maybe that is why the Warners of the world cavalierly dismiss this particular type of immorality.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The theme of the evil of homosexual acts permeates both the old and new testaments. Here are a few examples:

• Genesis 13:13 "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.”
• Genesis 19:5 “And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.” (Sexual immorality was the reason for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.)
• Leviticus 18:22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
• Deuteronomy 23:17 “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor ba sodomite of the sons of Israel.”
• Isaiah 3:9 “The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.”
• Romans 1:27-30 “And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
• Jude 1:7 7 “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

From Genesis to Jude, the message of the immorality of homosexuality as one among many sexually immoral behaviors runs throughout.

In this life, some have more or less of a predisposition toward alcoholism, toward drug addiction, toward homosexuality or other sexual perversions, toward violent behavior, toward impatience, and toward a wide variety of other shortcomings of human behavior. A measure of human character is our ability to bridle our negative predispositions. Just because we refuse to bridle our predisposition toward violence does not make our violent acts acceptable. Just because we refuse to bridle our predisposition toward homosexuality does not make our homosexuality acceptable.

The teachings of Christianity expressed in the Bible are this nations’ basis for morality and law. When out of convenience or as a result of political pressure groups and influence we dismiss one clear Biblical moral teaching, we begin the unraveling of all the rest.

Let’s check out what other Biblical declarations of immorality, upon which this nation’s moral standards and laws have been based, might soon be declared null and void by political decree…

Thou shalt not murder.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt honor thy mother and father
Thou shalt not covet.
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Which Senator or other half-witted politician wants to declare some of these Biblical standards null and void? Its bad enough that many of us fall short of these standards, despite considering them to be sound moral standards. But to purposely declare these standards irrelevant and not worthy to strive toward is idiocy.

What is the basis for morality? Is it what the most vocal group claims is OK? Is it something that can be determined by a pollster?

So, if the “Child Predators Association” or “The Man-Boy Love Association” or the “Animal-Human Love Association” or “defenders of murder” groups (trust me, there is a group representing every perversion you can imagine, and some you can’t) ever become prominent, Senator Warner and other amoralists may then declare child molestation, man-boy love, and murder to be moral.

General Pace is apparently considered “an unenlightened throwback” with regard to his moral standards by the folks who have declared traditional morality obsolete. Others might admit he has a right to his personal moral beliefs, and agree that such beliefs may still be valid, but argue he has no right to express them in a public forum or in the carrying out of his duties.

Wow! In either case, this smack down bodes trouble for our nation’s leaders, as well as for this and future generations.

Since when does a leader, a public leader in high places, lose his right and obligation to speak out on moral issues? That is a major part of the job of a good leader...not only to be a good moral example, but to speak out for morality.

And what is the next moral imperative that will be struck down by ignorant, self-serving, “politically-correct”, but ultimately destructive decree?

I see it coming. Soon there will be a time when nothing is considered immoral, when there is no basis for law, for abiding by laws, or for civil behavior. At such time as everyone does what is right in his own eyes will be the death of order and death of civilization. Thus will come a second Dark Age, unless Gods patience draws to a close and another cleansing occurs.

I thank God for people like General Pace. I pray there will be many more leaders just like him who rise up for Godly values with courage and conviction in the face of ignorant adversity.

Know Your Enemy - The President Doesn't

After reading a portion of the transcript of a recent White House speech given by our President, I couldn't resist writing him to tell him what I thought. Click the title for the context.

Dear Mr. President:

I have read the following transcript of a talk you recently gave:

"Islam is a religion that brings hope and comfort to more than a billion people around the world. It has transcended racial and ethnic divisions. It has given birth to a rich culture of learning and literature and science... ...Ramadan is the holiest month in the Muslim calendar. For Muslims in America and around the world, Ramadan is a special time of prayer and fasting, contemplation of God's greatness, and charity and service to those in need. And for people of all faiths, it is a good time to reflect on the values we hold in common, including love of family, gratitude to God, the importance of community, and a commitment to tolerance and religious freedom."

Mr. President, with all due respect, you must be kidding. Your words are contributing to the confusion of a nation.

If what you said is true, then...

• Why is Islam known for such extreme violence?
• Why does Islamic violence increase during Ramadan, their "holiest month"?
• Why are Islamic women denied their human rights?
• Why is Islam known to be the most intolerant religion on the planet?
• Why does a central point of Islamic theology require forced conversions?
• Why are the majority of teachers of Islam teaching conquest and Sharia law?
• Why is this nation spending billions of dollars defending against the Islamo-fascist threat?

The better question is, why are you pandering to such a religion? Are you hoping your kind, but erroneous words will change their theology?

The concept of "Moderate Islam" is a hopeful, but self-deluding myth. Your statements reflect a head-in-the-sand understanding of today's Islam. Or at best, reflect the state of Islam 50 years ago. Islam is going through a reformation - a return to their theological roots. These roots are vested in violence and conquest. The Muslims who may be "moderate" based on our Christian world view are in a reformist-Islam intimidated minority. Few speak out against their violent mainstream counterparts.

We will experience success when we know our enemy. You do not speak as if you know our enemy. God help us.
