Detroit could have remained prosperous. Gaza could have become prosperous. But neither occurred.
Detroit represents what happens when the workers and middle classes, the average Joe’s on the street, get greedy: They are seduced into wanting more – more of the money and lifestyle of their corporate leaders. The leaders accede to their demands. In the case of Detroit, the leaders are the bleeding hearts who tax the rich and redistribute to the poor – ever ready to gain the allegiance of the electorate by whatever means necessary. They were the liberals of government and the union weary management of the auto industry. To the ghetto dwellers in Detroit, the cops remain the “pigs.” The “pigs” are subdued, generally restricted to the more civilized parts of town.
Gaza presents a slightly different picture. The theme is the same but the actors are different. The theme is the workers and middle classes, the average Muhammads on the street, get greedy: They are seduced into wanting more. In the case of the Gazan Muslim, their religion taught them to want more - more land, more power, more dominance over the people who they were taught to hate, the Jews next door. Their leaders accede to their demands. In the case of Gaza, the leaders are whoever achieves the most power by bribes, deception and terror – and ever ready to gain the allegiance of their tribal subjects by whatever means necessary – usually by torture or murder. Presently the top dog is Hamas. To the ghetto dweller in Gaza, the Jews remain the “pigs.” Fortunately for the civilized world, in the case of Gaza the “pigs” are not subdued. They have the courage to fight back against unprovoked attacks. Through their continued greed and the teachings of their evil Islamic ideology, the Gazans forfeit any hope of a better life – except what they might gain through their continued lies and deception which they have refined into a notorious fine art – directed to a gullible world.
In both cases, the results are the same: Poverty, shacks, anger, violence, lawlessness, crumbling infrastructure. Detroit: The Liberal’s Gaza.
