The ever-expanding “dumbing down”…

One of the dangers of diversity within a nation (there are many) is the nagging tendency to pander to the lowest common denominator of society so no one will feel discriminated against, put upon, or left out.

In the case of blacks (People of color? No! Blacks!) the call for dumbing down has been stark, and is getting worse. I distinguish blacks from other “people of color”, Asians and Hispanics, because leftists in this nation see blacks as uniquely unable to succeed without massive government handouts and shortcuts. Asians and Hispanics have no comparable difficulty.

“Dumbing down” in the US began in earnest in the mid-‘60’s with “affirmative action”, the federal legislation that discriminates against whites and males while it grants special preferences to blacks and females.

Dumbing down made its earliest splash in education and employment. Blacks and women were, and still are, given extra points for being black or being a woman.  If you are both black and a woman you hit the jackpot!  The less than “best qualified”, black or woman, for a job beats out the better qualified white or man.  If you are both white and male, you are screwed.

The same goes for college entrance criteria.  The less qualified black often has preference over better qualified whites.

That results in dumbing down both our workforce and our education.

Now comes the controversy over voting reform.  The perpetual advocates of discrimination, democrats and their leftist/socialist patrons, insist that blacks are incapable of showing identification that is essential to maintaining voting integrity. They prefer “anything goes” voter roles that do away with voter ID – because, after all, blacks are not capable of showing an ID – while officials jettison any semblance of a legitimate election.  This “dumbing down” of the voting system enables folks to vote multiple times, at multiple places, and whether they are a resident of a particular voting district or US citizen or not. This boondoggle includes bulk mailing of blank ballots to who knows who to fill out en masse and send in as “legitimate” votes.  In other words, the vote of millions of legitimate voters becomes corrupted and meaningless as a result of dumbing down the entire voting process.

So now, the dumbing down has transgressed education and employment and is now corrupting the very foundation of our system of governance.  Those who leftists believe are incompetent to even show proper ID are now given the franchise to vote and decide who our leaders will be.  If such voters lack the competence to come up with identification, can you imagine the decisions they will make about who or what to vote for?

Our uncontrolled immigration from 2nd and 3rd world nations is bad enough. Now we insist on speeding up the process of dumbing  down to 2nd or 3rd world nation status through our compromised voting integrity – all thanks to democrats/leftists who clearly appear to be seeking a compromised and failed nation.
