Deeming the investigators “ignorant”

Unbelievable and frightening.  No.  Not the Jihadists.  The ignorance of our FBI and other intelligence officials.

Remember the emails Hasan wrote to radical al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al Awlaki that the FBI intercepted, but “deemed innocent.”  Do you wonder what the emails said?

From ABC News:

United States Army Major Nidal Hasan told a radical cleric considered by authorities to be an al-Qaeda recruiter, "I can't wait to join you" in the afterlife, according to an American official with top secret access to 18 e-mails exchanged between Hasan and the cleric, Anwar al Awlaki, over a six month period between Dec. 2008 and June 2009.

"Hasan told Awlaki he couldn't wait to join him in the discussions they would having over non-alcoholic wine in the afterlife," the official said.

One military analyst, Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a military analyst at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies, said…

"It sounds like code words.  That he's actually either offering himself up or that he's already crossed that line in his own mind."

Code words, indeed.  These were the words of a clearly devout Muslim whose light bulb of “sudden Jihad” just clicked on.  Are these ignorant fools (FBI and senior military) so out of touch with religion, generally, and Islam specifically, that they are blind to a devout radical when one is staring them in the face?

Our intelligence agencies and military officers need to spend much LESS time on training in political correctness and cultural diversity, and much MORE time on training in Islamic doctrine and signs of becoming “devout.”   It is true that in Islam “devout” is synonomous with “radical.”  The ones who become “devout” seem to be the very ones who seem to come down with the so-called “sudden Jihad syndrome.”

On a related note, Evan Kohlmann, a senior investigator for the New York-based NEFA Foundation, which researches Islamic militants, had this to say:

"The point is you don't have to be an official part of Al Qaeda to spread hatred and sectarian views.  If you look at the most influential documents in terms of homegrown terrorism cases, it's not training manuals on building bombs. The most influential documents are the ones that are written by theological advisers, some of whom are not even official Al Qaeda members."

Increasing the devoutness of Muslims in this country toward true Islam motivates them to find their own “best weapon” to demonstrate their faithfulness to Allah.

They don’t use just “bombs”, you morons.  C’mon, FBI, get a clue!  You need to understand the motivation – the teachings of Islam – and not focus on the weapon of the moment.

Healthcare reform: A matter of trust...

...and Obama doesn't have mine.

Given who Obama has surrounded himself with over the past 20 years, and who he continues to surround himself with in the White House, he could propose Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan and Megyn Kelly visit me in cute little nurses uniforms and I wouldn’t trust him any more than I could trust Hugo Chavez.

He could propose the most benign, capitalist, user-friendly healthcare reform in the world, and I would mistrust it. Obama has demonstrated too many not-so-hidden agendas in his national socialist policies.

I’m suspecting that an increasing number of Americans are beginning to feel the same way.

If we’re paying adequate attention, there won’t be ANY reform until the next president. I can only hope. That’s the kind of hope I can believe in.

Paradigm Shift: More Than Obamanomics

A paradigm shift is what appears to be a sudden shift of values of what is right and true.  A “paradigm shift” is occurring in our nation’s economy, health care, religious values and national defense, all at the same time.  I will coin a new word for this:  Megadigm shift.

To provide some perspective, here are several examples of “paradigm shifts” that have occurred in the social sciences:

  • The Keynesian Revolution is typically viewed as a major shift in macroeconomics.[2] According to John Kenneth Galbraith, Say's Law dominated economic thought prior to Keynes for over a century, and the shift to Keynesianism was difficult. Economists who contradicted the law, which inferred that underemployment and underinvestment (coupled with oversaving) were virtually impossible, risked losing their careers.[3] In his magnum opus, Keynes cited one of his predecessors, J. A. Hobson,[4] who was repeatedly denied positions at universities for his heretical theory.

  • Later, the movement for monetarism over Keynesianism marked a second divisive shift. Monetarists held that fiscal policy was unimportant for economic stabilization, in contrast to the Keynesian view that both fiscal and monetary policy were important.[5]

  • Fritjof Capra describes a paradigm shift presently happening in science from physics to the life sciences. This shift in perceptive accompanies a shift in values and is characterized by ecological literacy.[6]

  (Source: Wikipedia)

Barack Obama is either blamed for or credited with our current megadigm shift.  But in reality, he is merely the spokesman and facilitator for it.  This shift has been brewing for several decades. I’ve known of Obama’s radical, socialist, communist, racist and terrorist connections since he first began his presidential campaign – he wrote about them in his second book that my daughter gave me two and a half years ago for Christmas.

Most of the people who elected Obama knew of his radical associations – they were not kept secret. A man with this kind of background would not have been elected if this “megadigm shift” had not been brewing within the American psyche for some period of time.  Our current president didn’t come to power via a coup.  He was elected by American voters.  While there was considerable deception via his public rhetoric, most of his value system was already on the table.

The American voter was part of the megadigm shift now unfolding on the national stage:

  • Shift from capitalism to socialism and beyond
  • Shift from private sector to public sector services and ownership of major corporations
  • Shift toward quadrupling the national debt in less than a year
  • Shift from being a “Christian nation” to being a “Muslim” nation (in the president’s view) or at best, not a Judeo/Christian nation.
  • Shift from discernment in morals and sense of right and wrong to a belief that those are outmoded concepts that are “judgmental, bigoted, and intolerant.”
  • Shift from winning wars as a logical and essential objective, to winning becoming a poor, archaic objective because we no longer have the stomach, the sense of purpose enough to sacrifice to win.

These and other components of our megadigm shift are the ultimate consequence of a democracy that lost its self discipline – a consequence of losing faith in our own value system and believing every else’s values are just as good or better.  The people of this nation have lost their sense of history and purpose to the point of accepting the “un-American” principles we fought against for the past six decades.  We are at the point where what appears to be the easy road – the government doing for us what we should do for ourselves – is the most appealing.  And Hussein Obama, with his hoard of czars and community activists will help lead us down that path.  He is leading us toward losing our liberties.

God help us…if half our population can recognize Him.

Known by the Company You Keep...

But who really cares? Apparently, not many.

Ever since Jeremiah Wright's rabid feelings and philosphy about America became widely known last year, there has been radical after radical revealed as having been Obama's mentors, friends, and associates. Here are some of those associations along with some of his decisions based on those associations...

First his Muslim father,
...Then his Muslim stepfather,
...Then his aetheist mother,
...Then his decision to change his name from Barry Sotero to Barack Hussein Obama
...Then his not-so-hot-on-America wife,
...Then Rev. Wright,
...Then his personal and business relationships with Tony Rezko, the corrupt Syrian Chicago developer,
...Then his expression that the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset."
...Then his personal and community organizer relationships with Bill Ayers, the terrorist, which certainly went well beyond "just being in his neighborhood."
...Then the many associations with and support from leaders of the Nation of Islam, Islamic front groups, welfare, Communist and socialist organizations...

Is there any non-radical, non-socialist, non-Black Liberation thologist, non-Islamic, non-America hating, pro-American individual that has mentored Barrack Hussein Obama over the years?

The sad reality is, even if supporters of Barack Hussein Obama were convinced beyond any doubt that the above is all true, none of this would matter to them.

Why?

Because none of those "radicals" are radical or distastefull in the eyes of those who support Obama. There is such a lack of appreciation - not just lack of appreciation, but disdain for our culture and political system that none of Obamas' associations are seen as a negative. In fact, I would guess that while a small minority of his supporters may be put-off by these associations and influences, the greater majority are either indifferent or energized by them.

Note that most of Obama's supporters are from among Generation Ys (age 20-35 group) with a strong showing from the Xs (35 to 50).

A disproportionately large number of these folks are the ones who have slouched into becoming liberal (takeoff of William Bennett's "Slouching Toward Gommorrah") out of ignorance of our Christian heritage, and the history of our nations' struggles over the last couple of generations with their inherent sacrifices. They have no point of reference to what has made America great, most conspicuously, our founding sense of self-control and sacrifice.

So, it is only natural that these ignorant and deprived souls support a candidate who promises the easy way: fewer taxes and a massive increase in federal programs and entitlements. This is Obama's claim to fame - where his heart is - providing entitlements to those who lounge in their comfort zone of being the "oppressed" and "disadvantaged", mostly at the hands of the "enablers." Yes, the "enablers" - the well-off among us who have such pity for the "entitled" that they deprive them of the will to be self-sufficient by providing esteem and incentive squealching government handouts. There is much self-esteem, power and immediate gratification garnered by the enablers by arranging for these handouts.

After the "boomers" quit producing and paying taxes, the Gen Y/X liberals will go from feeding off the old folks to feeding off themselves - sort of like eating their young.

The election may or may not be a sqeaker - depending on the degree "the Bradley effect" is at play. But there is a growing liberal population who sees nothing wrong with radical causes and behaviors, and thus sees nothing wrong with associations with radicals.

So you feel bad for the Guantanamo detainees?

A good friend of mine recently forwarded a copy of the following letter to a "concerned citizen" from Donald Rumsfeld. Apparently, the federal government initiated a new program to address some of the concerns related to Guantanamo detainees. This official letter describes the new "LARK" program which enlists the help of these concerned citizens. Please provide a copy to any of your friends who may also be concerned about the treatment of Guantanamo detainees.

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C.

Dear Concerned Citizen:

Thank you for your recent letter expressing concern about our treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda detainees currently held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The administration takes these matters seriously, and your opinion was heard loud and clear here in Washington.

You'll be pleased to learn that, thanks to the concerns of citizens like you, we are creating the Terrorist Retraining Program, to be called the "Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers" program, or LARK for short. In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided to place one terrorist under your personal care. Your detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation to your residence next Monday.

Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of admonishment. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommended in your letter. Although Ahmed is sociopathic and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his "attitudinal problem" will help him overcome this character flaw. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless you feel that this might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with your wife or daughters since he views females as a subhuman form of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him. He has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he considers appropriate, but I'm sure that over time they will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the bhurka. Just remind them that it is all part of respecting his culture and his religious beliefs.

Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate it when folks like you inform us of the proper way to do our job. Take good care of Ahmed and good luck!

Cordially,
Don Rumsfeld

(For those who take things way too seriously, this letter is a parody.)
