Judging Islam

“Judge not lest ye be judged” is an expression we’ve grown up with that helps justify our political correctness and our penchant for cultural diversity.  That well-meaning expression is misunderstood and carried way too far in our society.  Too many interpret it to a mindless extreme:  Don’t judge between good and evil; right and wrong.  Don’t presume we are right and another person is wrong. Give every idea, utterance, and action of another the benefit of the doubt no matter how obscene, obscure, or objectionable it might be.

More accurately, the expression pertains to the fact that we are subject to the same standards by which we judge others.  Don’t judge unfairly; don’t judge out of ignorance.  Conversely, informed judgment is a good thing – as is “discernment”: the exercise of informed judgment.  Judgment is essential for us to be moral beings – to have a sense of right and wrong.

Unfortunately, there are growing numbers of Americans who have become “moral relativists” who disdain or deny there is such a thing as right and wrong.  It is only someone’s “opinion.”  Any anti-social action is defended as someone’s freedom of expression.  Many of our political leaders, like General Casey who still blindly defends cultural diversity in the military over identifying the ideology of the Islamic terrorist who killed 13 soldiers, are moral relativists.

Cultural diversity is the handmaiden of moral relativism.  Our military, FBI, CIA, and many police departments practice moral relativism when they continue to give Islamists the benefit of the doubt despite their promotion of violence, bigotry, hatred, and Islamic supremacism.

Why is it OK for Islamists to demean, denounce, threaten, belittle, and bemeoan “the infidel”, but not ok for Jews and Christians to be critical of Islamist intolerance, supremacism and bigotry?  Is it our disdain of “judging” others?  Our affinity toward cultural diversity?  Or has it gone beyond that?

Have we transitioned from electing to be “culturally diverse” to being coerced into Dhimmitude?  It is appearing more and more that we are being intimidated into submission by the very ones to whom we granted the benefit of the doubt via our failure to judge.   This appears to be the case.  In the Fort Hood case, doctors and officers up and down the line are expressing that they failed to act on Hasan’s many obvious signs for fear of litigation by the Muslim community, fear of being called a bigot, or fear of disciplinary measures from their superior officers for violating their self-imposed rules of cultural diversity (aka “do not judge – do not think”).

There is no question that basic Islam as taught in the Qur’an, as written and practiced by Muhammad, as being promoted by the violent vocal minority of Muslims, teaches intolerance and Islamic Supremacism through any means up to and including violence and terror.  There is no doubt that Sharia law and Islam’s universal treatment of women is an anathema to our own culture and our own values.  Yet we give Muslims the benefit of the doubt.  Why?  Because we “assume” they are moderate and benign. And because we fear the consequences.

Most Muslims appear to be patriotic, America-loving individuals.  No doubt many are.  The trouble with this assumption, as Hasan has demonstrated, is this:

  1. We don’t know for sure which ones are truly “moderate and benign” and
  2. We don’t know for sure when the “moderate and benign” kick over to the Jihadi phase of the devotion to Islam.

No, the same dilemma cannot be attributed to Christians and Jews and atheists.  These groups don’t have a tiny fraction of the track record in the past millennia that Islam has in the last decade.  Don’t even try that “moral equivalency” BS.

We need a major shift of thinking from the past several decades.  We need to become more judgmental, more discerning, less culturally diverse, more appreciative of our own culture, less tolerant of those in opposition to our culture.  This Veterans Day, we need to vow not to sacrifice our soldiers or our nation on the alter of cultural diversity.  General Casey; President Obama:  Get a Clue!

If you were the commander of a military base, what would you now do differently?

This is a question **I HOPE** is being considered by many base commanders at this moment.  Recruitment of Muslims has proven to be a “double-edged sword” (NPI).  What needs to be done differently to avoid a repeat of the Fort Hood attack?

First, within the scope of authority I am granted, I would modify the “cultural sensitivity training” mandated by the military to include greater recognition of signs of odd behavior and political discontent as exceptions to the mandate that everyone is benign and must be respected as equals.

I would especially assure that officer and senior NCO training include “signs of discontent, disloyalty, erratic behavior, anti-war sentiment, moodiness, aloofness, etc.” and courses of counseling and potential discharge as the military solution to these problems.

While others besides Muslims are capable of psychotic behavior, I would recognize that Muslims are in fact taught what we consider to be “psychotic behavior” as part of their “religious” training.  With this in mind, I would assure that my key leaders were fully aware of the teachings and track record of Islam (or what is politically correctly called “radical Muslims”) in this nation.  I’m sure there are abundant FBI reports available that reveal the anti-American, anti-“infidel” (“people of the book”: Jews and Christians) teachings of Islam in most Mosques of America.

I would establish a program that assures that anyone with identified “issues” is assigned two or three other trusted individuals in their unit to “buddy-up” with, befriend, or otherwise make it their business to know what is going on in the disturbed persons personal life and mind – as part of a limited evaluation period.

So many signs were missed with Hasan.  Why?  Mostly due to excessive political correctness, excessive and wrong-headed cultural sensitivity training, and excessive ignorance about the nature and teaching of Islam in this country, all of which mis-programmed coworkers into ignoring the many clear warning signs that were displayed.

But I’m wondering how far up the military food chain these changes would have to go to receive approval.  I envision a plethora of bureaucratic, politically/legally-correct and diversity-centric road blocks.

This is the mentality we are dealing with, from an Islamic web site in the US:

Major Nidal Hasan M.D.

An officer and a gentleman was injured while partaking in a preemptive* attack.

Get Well Soon Major Nidal

We Love You

We do NOT denounce this officer's actions,we do however apologize for the following acts committed by our country:

Bay of Tonkin

The East Timor Massacre by USA Supported Suharto

1902 Samar Massacre in the Philippines by the USMC

1,000,000 Dead Iraqis

Afghani & Pakistanis Killed by the USA

Starvation of Africa & Rape of it's Resources by the USA

Support of the Brutal "Israeli" Occupation Entity

Etc. Etc.

Every day is Fort Hood for the world community due to USA policies and & their tyrant totalitarian puppet regimes. Rest assure the slain terrorists at Fort Hood are in the eternal hellfire and it is not to late for YOU to change your policies.

And here are well-conceived comments from a reviewer of a book comparing Islamic and Christian eschatology titled “The Islamic Anti-Christ”:

The author shows that Islam is an ancient, popular, and possibly demonic-inspired religion through its sacred texts, and that it's currently a powerful political force bent on world domination. Its scriptures encourage terrorism and imperialism, and threaten the U.S. Constitution with its Sharia Law, and provide explicit directives to commit human rights abuses (prejudice, torture, beheadings).

In my opinion the U.S. response against Muslim states should be a political, economic, and military response, though the author recommends only a religious response based on prayer and martydom in the face of Islamic terror. Such a single-minded, conciliatory response is an act of surrender and enables an inevitable, intractable, self-fulfilling prophecy. I disagree with the author's recommendation.

Similar to the Cold War, where conflicting ideologies contested for world influence, the U.S. could project a powerful net of containment, hindering the spread of Islam and its empire-building ambitions. There is no distinction between Islam and a militant Islam. There is Islam, and it is militant, as its holy books brashly proclaim and its bloody history proves. There is no New Testament in Islam to overcome its past sins, and no Golden Rule to reconcile people. On the contrary, the author shows that Islam is spread by compulsion, not compassion.

The U.S. should no longer waste blood and treasure in the construction of new Muslim states in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Unless amendments are added to the Quran requiring tolerance toward other religions and atheists, and respect for their continued existence, Islam in the U.S. should be treated as a political organization under the law, not as a religious organization, for without amendment Islam will continue to be an intolerant force, and its religious and political leaders dangerous.

As the author aptly pointed out, 90% of the wars and acts of terrorism throughout the world are performed under the banner of Islam.

Exploring Islamic eschatology and Christian apocalypticism, the author shows convincingly how both religions' anticipated destinies are intertwined, and adversarial, with Armageddon the result. This isn't just a matter of personal religious belief kept hidden away in somebody's mind to be used for self-examination and betterment. Islam is a cause, and its zealots die for it, and kill for it. A political, economic, and military response to Islam as a political, economic, and military force is necessary, if one believes the prophecies on either side, and connects the dots as the author has. As Islam moves, anti-Islamic forces should move.

Australian Officials had it right.

From a friend of mine…this bears repeating.  While this sentiment is several years old and is a composite of the views of several in the former Australian administration, it includes the wishes of many Australians and Americans.  Yes, the liberal truther sites will whine that such sentiments divide cultures (boo hoo) it is the intolerance, terrorism and hate of the radical Islamic culture that is doing the dividing, not those who are defending their nation and culture.

My friend puts the statement in context:  “This brings to mind what a wishy-washy idiot we have elected to represent our Country....just my humble opinion.”

'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians'.

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'. 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.

Don’t those of us who are aware of the corrosive, defiling influence this fascist movement imposes on our culture and liberties wish we had leaders with similar opinions.

Honor Killings: Women of America – Wake Up!

Especially you liberals and feminists out there.

You are inexplicably silent about the Islamic cultural practice of “honor killings” – the culturally/religiously sanctioned practice of killing wives and daughters who stray from the faith and shame the family.

Lest any are skeptical or ignorant of such practice in the US, here is some evidence for you.

First…

Next, a July 2008 news report titled “Murder in the Family: Honor Killings in America.”

Next, a September 3, 2009 news report titled “Honor Killings on the Rise”.

And then we have the case of 17-year-old Rifqa Bary, the Christian daughter of Islamic parents, who very legitimately fears for her life due to threats from her parents and the teachings of her parents home Mosque.  The courts, ignorant of or simply ignoring this foreign cultural oddity, and more skeptical of Christianity than of Islam, recently ruled to send Rifqa back to her parents.

So, why are so many of us so oblivious to the reality of such practice?  Several reasons:

  1. Cultural-ego-centrism – we cannot fathom the thought that any culture would really condone such a thing.  It is so “un-Judeo-Christian.”  We are so accustomed to our own value system that we ignore the reality of others.
  2. Cultural equivalency – the idea, mainly held by liberals and progressives, that all cultures are equal in value and legitimacy; who are we to judge.  After all, our culture, our heritage isn’t so great.  Look, we killed off the native Americans, will brought slaves from Africa, we are all capitalist pigs.  Any other culture and cultural practice must be at least as good as ours.  Ya, right.  This is “cultural diversity” run amok.
  3. The desire to “get along”.  This is a mixture of fear and misplaced graciousness.  We don’t want to get anyone mad at us.  Graciousness is a great cover for fear and not wanting to address an issue that will kill our culture.  A psycho-babble word for this is “co-dependant.”

When will most of us wake up to the fact we are basically a good and noble nation with a culture and values worth sustaining; that other cultures are less inspiring, less prosperous, less free, and less humane than ours?  Every human being has a past containing events they are not proud of.  But should that destroy the goodness of the person?  The same applies to nations.  We are a nation with a culture worth preserving and defending against insidious foreign cultural practices such as honor killings and Sharia law.

Remaining ignorant and blind to the reality of these cultural perversions and doing nothing about them is admitting to the valuelessness of our own culture.  How much garbage behavior from other cultures can or should we absorb?

Rifqa, I’m sorry our culture, our legal system, our people, let you down.

Racism vs. Cultural Diversity

Here's some "politically incorrect" soul searching.

Early in our lives we've been taught the evils of racism. More recently we've been taught the beauty of "cultural diversity". "Racism" and "cultural diversity" are flip sides of the same coin: They define degrees of acceptance of differences between human beings. Racism invokes the idea of "superiority and inferiority" while "cultural diversity" invokes the idea of equal value and respect of various cultures.

I have never considered myself a racist. But I do have difficulty with the concept of cultural diversity. Why? Because the concepts of "strength in unity" and "birds of a feather" make more sense. Different cultures are different by definition. Differences breed differences by nature. Total acceptance and respect of other's values minimize my own values. Their values may be "good information" from an academic standpoint, but if they were that good, I would assimilate them. And I don't. So I remain who I am - different. Differences remain.

Here are a couple of honest and contrarian opinions on the topics of "racism" and "cultural diversity" I found on another website in response to the "racism" charge against Obama and Gates. While politically incorrect, I found these comments stimulating food for thought:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"There's only one race: 'the human race'" and other such silly nonsense.

"Like Obama, I'm a racist too. The difference is that I make no bones about it like so many cowards do . Being the prez, Obama is coward number one, and also he's a freakin' socialist puppet dirt bag.

"I'm white and I'm proud of being white. I make no apologies for that. I don't hate blacks or chinese or what have you (they are good people too), but I prefer living with my own kind. I don't want to become a multi-racial mud person. If anyone wants to integrate with another race then they are very free to do so. But, I prefer my own kind, it's just very deep in my blood. It's very natural to "flock together" and modern lefty globalist politics can't change the fact that I feel that societies are much stonger when they are united. Multi-racial societies are NOT united, they are doomed to constant conflicts. That is just a fact that we see every single day. There is no cure for the race problem other than to segregate. Deep down everyone knows that!

"And you thought that Obama would make things better? duhhh! you stupido!

Go to an all white small town (if you can find one) and you can leave your front door unlocked. I like that ....very much so!

Go to Iceland and check out the crime rate...it's practically non-existant. Diversity ? Oh yeah, and for what? To live in constant conflict? For me, wide diversity is good in the world, not in my country. If I want to experience another culture (and I do), I will travel.

Nope, not for me. I'm a true rebel and I am not afraid to think outside the idiot box. Yup, I am a racist. So what? Everyone is, it's natural and it's essential for building a cohesive, functional and strong country....

Diversity is our strength, and I've got a bridge for sale. Stupido!

"[According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a racist is someone who believes "all members of each racial group possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially to distinguish it as being either superior or inferior to another racial group or racial groups."]

"I'm a racist.

"I think that blacks are superior at basketball and other specific areas of some sports.
I think that blacks are inferior at swimming , because they kinda' sink. They have a less buoyant skeletons (bones).
I think that whites significantly outscore blacks on standardized tests.
I think that chinese slightly outscore whites on standardized tests.
I think that there are more whites at the highest levels of the intelligence bell curve and that they are [more] inventive than the chinese.
I think that blacks have a higher tesosterone level than whites and therefore they are much more prone to violent crime, whereas chinese have a slightly lower testosterone level and therfore lower agression levels.
I think that the Williams sisters are completely pumped up on testosterone and that is very unfair. (just a womens tennis side note)
I think that I am so interested in facts and the truth and that I value the truth, and that is why I am definitely a racist.

[My note: I don't know how much of the above is "fact" vs. "uninformed myth." But his point that every race has its' relative strengths and weaknesses is well-taken.]

"I think that blacks are equal in that they are human, but, I know that there are differences that are the makings for un-ending conflict in a white society under the forced equal outcome mandate....as we see and have seen and we will continue to see.

"...there is a family in my town that tend to be very very smart people and that it's in their genes (race) and that does not hurt me. In some very real ways I could say they are superior to me. But, good for them, they have been very productive for our town. I don't...hate them for their superiority. I respect them for it.
"

There should be nothing wrong with saying "I am Black and proud to be Black." "I am Latino and proud to be Latino." "I am White and proud to be White." Trouble is, if whites say it, it's racist - if others say it, it's "cultural diversity." To ignore race and erase our differences is sticking our head in the sand. We are not all the same. But I, too, am more comforable around people with whom I have most in common. To say otherwise would make me a liar.

Loyalty - Bad; Every Man for Himself - Good

Loyalty, bad - Every man for himself, good. Is that what political correctness is all about?

During a recent “meet and greet” I met a gentleman who relocated from Utah. He was not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) aka “Mormon” as most Utahans are. In fact, he was a Unitarian – an organization that institutionalized the celebration of anything from the spiritual belief or disbelief menu that fits their member's fancy. This provision makes cafeteria Catholics and cafeteria Presbyterians appear to be exceptionally uncreative. He was also a senior manager of a company who hired many LDS employees for their well known characteristics of “dependability, respect for authority, and work ethic” - traits he admitted benefitted his company greatly.

His next comments had a surprisingly negative twist. He complained that the Mormons in Utah were predisposed to not question authority - too obediant, and were excessively “clickish”, not inviting their non-Mormon boss to social events for the umpteen years he worked there. He did admint, however, that LDS outside of Utah are much more socially inclusive of people of other faiths.

What was fascinating to me about his complaint is he appeared to want to have it “both ways”. He wanted obedient rebels. He wanted people who would do the work given to them and at the same time he wished they were more independent-minded and strong-willed “like folks in the rest of the country.” But then, would his company be able to stick to its strategic plan through unity and teamwork? Probably not.

The opposite scenario is the several Republican Sarah Palin handlers being upset for her being a "maverick." They want her to be a maverick at the same time they want her to be a "yes" woman.

Anyway, back to my Utah acquaintance. This gentleman’s critique is an apt representation of how far our nation has strayed from being “E Pluribus Unum” – “out of many, one.” Even though his company benefited from its’ employees respect for authority and related traits, he felt individuals practicing such traits were flawed in some manner - that their loyalty and obedience were oddly extreme. Well, in our society, respect for authority, dependability and the like are out of vogue. No wonder this individual thought it “unnatural.” These have become peculiar and uncommon traits. He is caught up in our “every man for himself” culture.

The Utah LDS he disdains for their “excess loyalty” reflects the character that could reunite the people of this nation. Their perceived “clickishness” is a cultural safeguard against being sucked into the larger devisive morass of our society. Or is our growing devisive, self-absorbed disdain for our cultural heritage and national goals seen as one of our nations' strengths? Hmmmm. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case.

We as a nation have strayed far afield from being united, with a common purpose. We have strayed from stressing things we have in common to "celebrating our differences." We have evolved into a nation that cherishes diversity (read: differences and disunity) above all. Why don't we identify and celebrate things we have in common with one another? Wouldn't that enhance chances of unity? Ahh, but it cuts against our rebellious grain. We disdain unity.

A poignant speech a la Thomas Paine and his “Common Sense” eloquently describes what we have become in this short video titled "The Ghost of Thomas Paine and the Second Revolution." View it here.

Fiddling while Washington's Nuked - Why We Aren't Prepared

The current tendencies of this nation and much of our population are troublesome in several respects:

Immigration: Inability to assimilate as fast as immigration is being allowed, inviting excessive and violent cultural change in the coming years; disregard for the law by not enforcing the immigration standards we have.

Cult of "cultural diversity" and "tolerance": Belief that anyones values, culture, beliefs, religion, and behaviors are as good as, if not superior, to our own - being "tolerant" to the point of self-destruction.

Ignorance about the breadth and intent of radical Islam: What proportion of the 1.3 billion Muslims in the world would like to control our nation and dictate their religious standards to the rest of our population?

Lack of defenses for the most likely violent threats to our political system, economy, and infrastructure.

Here is a site worth exploring that describes these threats in vivid detail.
